The "Cowboy-Caster" ...part 1710 viewsI made this from Warmoth parts I found on eBay...in fact, all of the parts were found on eBay except for the Tom Anderson TD3R pickup (Mesa Boogie store, Hollywood).
The body is solid Swamp Ash, I gave it the most minimalist finish possible(dark red furniture stain), then wiped on a few coats of Tung oil. The former owner of the body modified the bottom horn, I just sanded it smooth and cut the pickguard to fit the contour.
The neck is standard Maple/Rosewood...SRV contour, stainless steel frets (which are AWESOME, i'm never going back to nickel!!!) Earvana nut for great, inexpensive intonation.
Locking Schaller tuners, Wilkinson Tele bridge.
Wait 'til you see the back...

Brown oil finish Thinline with Benedetto s673 viewsThis was made by Japanese guitar brand "Bacchus". When I purchased it,the pickups were normal single coils.
I replaced them. The neck PU is Benedetto S6. It is a pick guard-mount PU for arched top guitars. (Made by Kent Armstrong).
The bridge PU is Aero. The sound is silky. Nice for soul jazz. Nov 19, 2009
